Gerald Anderson has been repairing and building stringed instruments Since 1976, and thinks of himself first as a luthier, and second as a musician But music is more than that for Anderson, a lifelong resident of Grayson Country, Virginia, whose windows look out over the majestic mountains of the Blue Ridge, and who plays with local string bands for dances, benefits, and chicken suppers.

In this recording he combines the talents of a host of his musical friends along with his own warm and vibrant style to produce a collection of his favorite songs that run the gamut from gospel to bluegrass to country to swing. Nearly all the Instruments that appear in this recording were handcrafted, some by the musicians themselves.
